I’m planning a spin around the Gap tomorrow starting from Tal-y-Bont.
I’ve traditionally always gone down to Ponsticill, but does anyone know if the trail down to Dolygaer is okay at the moment?
…and can you ride up the old railway to cross the road at the entrance Taf Fechan?
Hoping for some big views.

The trail to Dolygaer is fine. Don't go as far as DyG itself, but instead take the forest track that passes above it and then eventually above the top station too. The track skirting the edge of the Taff Fechan forest is fine apart from the dog walkers.
