Off to CYB for Monday, last we went it rained a lot, we still had a great time and the trails were fine, but I can't stand wet feet.
Monday looks like rain , so I thought I might wear some gaiters, any reason why this is a shit idea?

Gaffer tape. Cheaper and more effective... maybe.

Having struggled to get winter boots which fit my wide feet, I've resorted to Yeti gaiters on my normal shoes this winter, and it works a treat. The only downside* is that they're sized to go over bulky boots, so there's more fabric than necessary flapping around the ankles unless you take them in a bit. Which may or may not bother you.

*Apart from offending the fashion police, obviously. 😀

I use Pearl Izumi Amfib bib tights - they are water resistant (like a softshell) and have a built in gaiter that goes over the top cuff of your winter boots (and stays there) so water runs over the outside. No daft walking gaiters required.
