I understand it should sharpen steering but will there be any negatives? If not then why aren't all sold with G2 anyway?

G2 is a Trek standard, hence why you don't get them as standard on other bikes. G2 is 52offset vs 46/51 available aftermarket. Doubt you'd notice the +1mm
Are you sure it'll be different? I'm intentionally avoiding looking it up as I'm just playing with a G2 34 and a Pike in my Remedy and trying not to second guess it, but I suspect that they might actually have the same or nearly identical offset.
(I spent all day yesterday going "wow, this really turns better" so it'll be quite funny if they're both 51mm)
I had G2 geometry fox forks on my yeti.. you wouldn't have known.
Ive got non g2 forks on my Gary Fisher Xcal and i can't tell any difference..
I have them on my anthem 29er since I built it. Can't say if feels wrong.
It's the only bike I've ever owned I can't imagin selling. 4 years in. I love it.
