Left them a bit too long unloved with salty gritty dirt on and they have gone surface rusty furry.

Would leaving them in Coke ( or Pepsi) make them shiney again?

Used to work with 2p when I was a little 'un

Try a bit of hard braking, bound to be easier.

You had a rusty 2p?

I would just ride them, let the pads polish them up rather than covering them in sticky stuff.

Maybe fit them and take them out for a ride? Car discs usually develop a bit of surface rust if left for even a day or two, a quick drive has them shiny in no time.

I've just tried muc off's brake cleaner and loads gunk came off. £6 for a big can so might be worth a punt. If the pads need cleaning then try sanding them down a touch?
