Just got my bike built and there's a funny squeaking noise coming from the rear brake when I'm dismounted and gently rolling it back and forward.
Obviously it's the pad catching on the pad a little (I think!). How do I fix this, don't want to have to go back to lbs for a simple adjustment.
Come to think of it thes another minor tweek I need advice on too, the gears shift perfectly but a couple of times this morning it changed gear on its own. Is this the chain slipping? How can I fix it?
Thanks
Can you see one of the pads touching the disc? Does it touch all the time when turning the wheel
Yes it is touching the pads, I don't know how to fix it though
The touching pad probably won't be enough to worry you when riding so I'd ignore it.
The gear skipping is probably cable tension.
If you don't know how to do it just take it back to whoever built it. It's two very simple wee jobs to sort out but trying to explain it without knowing exactly what adjustments are needed is very difficult.
Cheers for the advice, will give it back to lbs to sort
