I never really got FGFS - clumsy, very limited scope and bikes look awkward.
Saying that the bikes make good off road fixed gears and I loved my All City Dropout
+1 l loved riding fixed to get around / commute / errands even played about with off road, but never got the tricks beyond mucking about while waiting maybe but not going out specifically for it. BMX was always more fun.
Good skills though.
I've just built a wheel for my retro singlespeed. It's a flip/flop hub so it's crying out for a fixed cog on one side. That's what got me looking at this stuff. 🙂
It's lovely on rolling terrain and simple off road.
