Had a London road and liked it, until it cracked. Aren't they pretty much the same? If so go for the colour you like best.

I looked at both 15 months ago. Decided I couldn’t be done with the negative customer service hassle and opted for a mint second hand Friston. BBITWE IMO.

London Road = Road
Full Monty = Gravel

Very similar build spec. Usual difference is tyres and bars (monty gets flared bars)

Some Monty and London Road models in Clearance now with 15% off with code SECRET15

The SL version gets a lighter frame and fork with dropped seatstays for compliance.

Any issues drop me a line on brant@planetx.co.uk

Are the brakes flat mount on both SL models?

Do both have clearance for at least 42mm wide slicks?

It's the kind of info potential buyers require in these days of ever-changing standards! 😉

Frames are post mount and tyre spec is on frame page. Not 42s

Dufresneorama, didn’t fancy the Space Chicken? Hoping to buy one in April when starting new job. Need to sell a bike first to make space.
I looked at the full monty as well but wanted the wider tyre clearance.

Space chicken is a Nice looking frame, but far more money than I wanted to spend.

I have 2 LRs. They take 40 slicks with guards, or 42 nobblies (WTB Resolutes) with clearance.

I rode TNR on one (which is now my commuter) and lots of stuff on the other, so are perfectly suited for off road adventures.

I don't get this. Why do retailers let you order something they don't have? I know why they do it, they want your money, I just don't understand from a customer service point of view why they don't tell you first so they can manage your expectations.

I'm guessing they sold you one they had but then sold one to a customer in the shop and didn't realise.

"The bike is out of stock at this fantastic discounted price, however, you can still buy it now and we will get you the bike by xxx date. Do you still wish to go ahead?"

Wouldnt this be better?

OOS notifications for products are auto generated by the site sometimes as it fails to check what is in the Bonded Warehouse when it does a post-checkout check.

The front end adds up the bonded and duty paid stock and displays that as stock available.

So the frame will be in stock, but they system is stupid since someone did an upgrade and didn’t realise the implication of it.

TLDR :: Sorry. Your frame is in stock and our computer is stupid.

Anyone actually ridden both of these and can give a comparison on how they ride? I'm looking to build up a new commuter so I think I should go with the LR frame as i'll be on road mainly. Problem is I keep getting drawn to the red colour on the FM 🙂

Cheers

Bikes still on, but frame lead times have just pushed right out, so we're not keen on blowing through discounted frames.

PS: Enduro helmets just went on discount for a Friday flash sale.
