Is there an adapter that can allow the left front stay to be fixed to the fork to get around the caliper being in the way?

I bent mine so they run below the calliper and then cut to length
I use these on both ends. Neater than the alternative solutions, and cost about £1.50 each.

Just fitted some to mine. All you need is a long bolt and something to space it out - Presta valve nuts, calliper brake mount bolts, V-brake pad spacers, that sort of thing
That said, Jacks solution above is a good one

Bending the stays works fine, I just prefer the aesthetics of unbent ones!
