As title, anyone got any experience with these wheels? Toss up between these and another set of Pro 3 Hopes on Crests.

For XC riding, I'm 72kg and not a heavy / jump type rider. Want light wheels that look good, prefer a loud hub like the Hopes 🙂

not sure how much help this is, but my mate has a pair of the cheapest (200 quid-ish) 29er versions. Quiet hub, sorry!

But, he is a 18stone (muscle 😯 ) second row with freeride tendencies and the wheels have remained completely true, stiff and fault free for 12months so far on a 29er HT.

Seem good to me.

HTH!

I might be wrong about your particular model, but When I looked at them, they didn't appear to be that light (and quite pricey I think), there seemed to be better alternatives. Have you considered Stan's hubs on Stan's alpine/crest rims (approx 1372-1415gms @ £370) or AC hubs on alpine rims (approx 1291gms @ £510)?. I've no idea how loud they are!

I think the pro3 looks good, the ones which come with the 3 spoke rotors.

Have been riding the RM1s for a coupl;e of months now and they are sweet as. Stiff with direct power and feedback. Running them with UST rocket ron on the rear and std ron on the front. No dramas with either, lock the tyres right into the rim. Can run them down to 20psi without drama.

Im about 95kg and have not thought for a second that I could do any damage to one of these wheels they are that strong. Possibly not the lightest wheel out there but definitely delivers for me.

If you are after a loud hub then they also have this. Think campy road wheels. It acts as a good reminder to keep the power down.

I would say they are comparable to the Mavic Crossmax STs, but stiffer. Your choice for the price.
