Currently running the original FSA Gossamer cranks and BB-6200 that came on my Pinnacle Dolomite 5 but the BB is starting to make a lot clicking & creaking noises. It also felt pretty rough when I swapped the chainring just after Christmas.

Question is, can I replace the bottom bracket with a Shimano of some description? I've seen a couple of conflicting reports as the cranks are the type that fit with an 8mm in the NDS.

Any help appreciated.

My understanding from a lot of googling was that they are interchangeable on the road (threaded), but not mtb.

I swapped to an ultegra BB (English threaded) on a CX bike and it fitted fine, though I sold the bike before I used it. Not heard back from them that it has been a problem though.

Thanks for that, rekon I might end up taking a punt, the FSA's £40, an Ultegra's £16.

the BB is starting to make a lot clicking & creaking noises.

That is because* FSA BBs are made of cheese.

I went the whole hog on my Arkose and replaced BB / Cranks to 105. BBs can be had for a tenner in sale time.

*(in my experience)
