Crud catchers never seem as good as they once were

Mud hugger was good but ate frame and died

SKS never stayed put

Surely someone makes a decent rear mudguard for a full suspension mountain bike?

I use a Topeak Defender RX but ditched the stupid and frankly useless quick release webbing strap that's supposed to secure it to the seatpost and fitted a metal jubilee clip over a cut piece of old innertube. Solid as a rock and dry as a bone.

IF the mudhugger worked I'd say that the frame eating was possibly an installation issue rather than design flaw and maybe try it again with more frame tape?

Even with helitape and old inner tubes around the stays the Mudhigger guard and zip ties tried to eat away at the frame. Two mates had theirs die and gouge their frames.

If it fit your frame the topeak XC-11 (29er for me) clamp is a lot better than anything I've previously used, 3winters in & it's solid but will twist if you fall off!
