So cold ride back at the end of January, and my feet got really cold, despite 2 pairs of socks and wearing a pair of speech ‘Defroster’ boots. Warmed up at room temperature for at least an hour before getting in the shower. Very red feet after getting out which had subsided by bed time bar one toe.
So visited the doctors today on another matter and showed him my foot with the still very red toe. Diagnosis, ‘Frost bite’.
jees, I didn't think you could get frostbite in the UK!
Blimey Charlie!
😯
Edit: did he make any suggestions so as to avoid it happening again?
So is it coming off then?
I think i remember hearing 2 hours at -5 on exposed skin and you would start to get frost nip.
If its already -5 and your moving at 15 mph i can easily see you feet getting frostnip/bite a lot quicker. I know my hands/feet get very very cold so i wear lots of layers there.
So is it coming off then?
no, no infection so just take a while for the tissue to recover.
Jeez! Seriously. ****.
