Last night when we stopped at a gate i pushed the forks down and my front wheel "pinked" - similar sound to the pad spring in the rotor.
Happens when i push the fork down and when the wheel is rotating/being ridden
All spokes seem equal tension.
Could it be caused by ice/temp??
dab of lube at spoke crossings?
even but 'not quite enough' spoke tension?
will see what magic finger matt @18bikes says tomorrow 🙂
I had something simliar - everything looked okay, but there was this occasional pinking sound... then the friction material on the pad fell off the backing plate. It had been like it for hours, I'd even got off to check spokes, brakes etc. and hadn't spotted it. Obviously, it finally parted company when it was subject to the greatest shock i.e. a fast downhill. It was very exciting... 😯
Worth checking, even if just to rule it out.
not the pads definitely
Spokes need a leedle more tension in them at a gues.
lube ya nipples
ok will do, want me to do anyone elses whilst at it??
