I picked up a Marin Bobcat trail 9.3 last year for my dad but after some rather poor shifting the front derailleur has bent. I now need some advice on what to replace it with.

The bike is setup in 3x8 top pull using a Shimano M190, for the life of me i cant seem to find out what would be a suitable replacement/upgrade.

I would really appreciate any guidance or advice

Thanks

A replacement Shimano M190 is about £10. I'd just get another one so you know it will work and be the right cage for your 42-32-22 chainrings. Maybe get a bike shop mechanic to set it up correctly.

An upgrade would be anything Deore upwards and one with a high clamp but I couldnt say if they would be as suited to the chainrings you have as the model you already have hence why I would stick with the same.
