Force 10 speed. Spent about 2 hours trying to sort my road setup. It's not been perfect since was rebuilt onto new frame? Regularly, but not consistently the chain will over shift the chain won't mesh with the front ring and will come off marking the crank and means I'll have to stop to manually put it back on. Other day it jammed and marked crank and frame.

Tried adjusting height, makes no difference, adjusting limiter either stops it shifting at all, or it over shifts, based on quarter of a turn at a time. It is worse the smaller the gear on the cassette.

Chain, cassette and front ring have all been replaced recent. So I'm stumped. New front mech? Or could it be a new rear or even a bent dérailleur? About 8500 miles so maybe a spring or something has gone. Never dropped or crashed.

Yeh, new front mech. Shimano 6600 or 7800 will be your best bet.
