After some advice on bolt length. Replaced a pair of sektors with a yari. Front disc is 180mm and both forks are post mount, the sektors use an adaptor to space the caliper out to 180mm but the yaris are already set at 180mm. The caliper is going to be directly mounted to the leg without the adaptor but it does mean the original shimano bolts are too long.
Any issues with direct mounting? Does anybody know what size bolts to use and do they have to be shouldered?
Thank you.
Problem solved had a pair of much shorter shimano bolts in my tool box. They're fully threaded but can't see it being a problem.
Yeah, simple check is to hold the bolt next to the caliper and fork and see where the end is!! Just go gentle if it's close and you can put a washer on the outside if you need to shorten the threaded length, presta lock rings are the right thread and will give you some breathing space if required.
