Presume removing just one link will keep the chain as tight?
2 I would have thought, given that each tooth has a link passing over it. So lose 2 teeth, lose 2 links?
As was embarrassingly pointed out to me a few days back, you're only losing 1 tooth (since the chain wraps around only half the chainring) and since chains are 2 links minimum change, most of the time you won't change the chain length (unless it was a bit loose before).
None most likely, possibly 2 (1 full pair). Depends whether you had a slackish or tightish chain before. If it was a bit slack remove a pair, if it was a bit tight leave as is. losing 2 teeth is only 1 tooth in use, so its not a full pair of links, so there is no 'right' answer to the question.
I never removed any going from 34-32. It's fine.
Didn't need to add any going from a 30T to a 32T Oval.
Either 0 or 2. I use the big/big/+2 method
I went from 32 to 30 and have not changed the chain length. Shifting is still sweet. In fact, if anything, it's better. (XO1 Groupset.)
Depends how tight your chain is now.
None 34-32 for me and works fine.
