Hi All,

Have bought a second hand Frog 55 for the girl for Christmas but need to replace the old grips. Anyone able to suggest a good place to order from? Frog themselves are out of stock and I cant find any information on size (other than 130mm which I thought would be length?) so cant even look at other options from other manufacturers!

All help appreciated 🙂

the bars are standard diameter so any grip will fit. You can get shorter kids grips or just cut some down.

MY son found the standard grip diameter to be too large.

Halfords sell some that we found better

Spank Grom are just short loc-ons from memory they're no thinner than any other grip at approx 30mm diameter.

Have you tried Isla bikes?

yes, I think the small Isla bikes have smaller diameter bars but the Frogs are standard. I checked which ones I'd bought for our kids bike and they are M-Part Youth grips. A little thinner than regular ones and a bit shorter but you could probably get some thin adult grips and cut them the length you want.

These WETHEPEOPLE Arrow grips are about as thin as I've seen grips for proper bars at 28mm diameter.  Will require grip glue as they're not lockons but that should make them both thinner and more comfortable.  Quite cheap off eBay too.

130mm is a standard adult width grip

~28mm is about the thinnest lock-on you'll find

go with old skool slide on grips for a kids bike as you'll find thinner but they'll still have more softness to the feel.

@Speeder - are those WTP arrow grips ribs soft and velvety like say a Sensus grip, or stiff like an OG ODI mushroom?

No idea, i haven't bought them yet as junior seems happy enough with my Ruffian handmedowns (he down't know any different) but I'd assume soft as is the current vogue. (I always remember ODI Mushrooms being super soft and quick wearing)

My 6 year old has some superstar foam grips on his. Seems to like them (but that may be because they are green). 😂
