And another weekend hits us... Not that they're too different to the weekdays right now?

Friday evening round the woods in the drizzle. Setting me up for a weekend of minor DIY, local riding, maybe some camera building, cooking, eating, drinking, and snoozing.

Trying to ride for a quick blast in my lunch break just to ride in daylight during the week

Don't search for the company in this pic if you are of a nervous disposition and definitely not at work!

It was nice to have different conditions today.
For weeks it's been really wet and shitty, and today it was very, very wet and shitty.

A bridleway not a lake

@rOcKeTdOg how's the recovery from the lurgy left you on the bike? The 6 week recovery from my op over Christmas has left me very lacking in power!

It is a bit groundhog day now 😬 More 'wetlands' riding here. Not much ridable off-road close to home 👎🏻

Picked the wrong day to go out by the look of it, everything is frozen solid today might have made yesterdays mud and puddle fest a bit more fun. Lots of grind on the BB and brakes yesterday.

Got out for a dog walk when I was back from the ride and it was getting cold, should have planned to get out his morning knowing what was coming.

Might have an extra long WFH lunch hour tomorrow and pop out before the weather changes on Tuesday

A bit of XC and a chunk of road to get to local downhill trails for berms and (small) jumps. Such a versatile bike and perfect for my lockdown needs.

Not jealous of @scotroutes at all.

It's all just horrible, wet slop that's been churned by everyone else being out everywhere in my area so haven't taken a bike out of the flat for nearly 2 weeks, Zwift and a daily walk is much more appealing currently. Saying that though, both local parks I wander round are quickly turning into bogs as the grass is rapidly disappearing too.

Saturday Out round my local woods on my orange clockwork. It's got 26" wheels wedged into a 27.5" frame.

First time on it in ages. It felt very odd compared to my much longer 29".

Sunday same trails but on a different bike.

Interesting how different they make the same place feel.

The 125mm dropper on the orange had me off and putting the seat post right down on the odd steep bit.

The geometron just rolled straight over lumps and bumps I was jumping and pumping on the orange.

It was a bit fresh on the south pennine tops yesterday! I bottled out of riding through the cdross wind along the dam at Gaddings - at the far corner there was a three foot swell with spray coming over the top. only about zero degrees so the wind chill was serious.
Lock down Epic!

90% of the off road is underwater as the rest is a sloppy mess, so more urban adventures with Muti-story car park dual racing.

@rOcKeTdOg - what's that aero-doohickey called in the middle of your bars? Looks useful...

After a week of cranky back spasms due to who-knows-what (current theory - attempting silly spin class manoeuvres on the rollers or trying that resistance-band bird-dog move the girl in the Wiggle ads is doing...) I went out for an easy spin on the CX bike, just to check out some new trails.

Glad I did! Excellent mud and trails, alternating between reasonably fast, pedalling farm tracks or loose gravel tracks, and some fantastic twisty muddy singletrack.

Nice site!

Funnily enough I'm just considering setting up Instagram/Blog for sharing Scottish Gravel routes and ideas, just trying to figure out a good Insta-handle!

£90 for the Farr aero loop is a bit rich for me, I'm just toying with some £7 bar ends in board of the brakes to achieve the same effect. Looks cool though.

This Sunday not as much fun as last! Just cold enough to crisp up the top of the Northants clay without setting it solid, so lots of sinking through into gloopy nastiness. Hard work.

Tricky finding places to ride at the moment. Too much snow on higher ground, too much ice on the roads and aren’t supposed to travel too far. Managed to find some low level tracks for a bit of a bimble though.
