Mark has got bats in his belfry. Partly literally. Just substitute 'belfry' for 'walls'.

Birthday Party crikey that’s a bit niche and for goths of a certain age. Great tune. Thankyou for managing to surprise me on a Friday.

I quite like the look of those shoes. My old BG ones are pretty much falling apart and they would certainly fit the bill.

Those shoes look pretty good.

A couple of those 2009 bike designs look weirder than weird, yet its only 5 mins ago in my head.

Is 80db loud? At the moment I alert hikers to my presence by shouting 'STRAVA' at the top of my voice. How would the bell compare with this?

80dB at what distance. If that's at a metre. Then 74dB at 2m, 68dB at 4m and 62dB at 8m.

That's without competing noise, ramblers hoods and wind

60dB ish is conversational speech level at 1m.

Birthday Party of that era were definitely louder than 80db!! Singing Release the Bats will clear most trails better than a bell or a shout of Strava.

Really like the look of those Tallac shoes. However for 1p short of £190 (how much!!) I would expect them to put the Boa winder somewhere where it won't get damaged/ripped off the first time I clip a rock or root or tree or bramble etc, etc. My Pearl Izumi X-alp Elevate shoes with the Boa on top are still going strong after 5 years of use, but looking at their website they no longer sell these shoes and all their other shoes have the Boa on the side. Maybe there is another reason for not putting them on top?
