Prefab garage so I can’t really load the walls too much but could do with reducing the footprint the bikes take up. Ideally, something like a freestanding frame that holds the bikes at an angle, say front wheel highest. Aside from commercial ones, I can’t really seem to find anything. Five bike capacity.

Anyone got anything similar, or seen something that would do?

They take up loads of space like this, with pointy handlebars at eye level.

I've tried all sorts and have settled with a timber rack with alternately spaced gaps for the rear wheel of MTB and road bikes. Front wheels at 45 degrees, and then a gurt big shelf above for spares, riding gear and other junk.

Also means you can ground anchor to the floor.

I used to have my bikes mounted on the wall at an angle, stood up. I thought it would be a really good way to store the bikes and save some space.
In actual fact, the bikes still stuck out a bloody long way into a single garage & made it a real pain in the arse.

Oh look here's a not very good picture of them:

I used arris rail screwed directly into the wall (I guess you'd need a frame) which gave me the 45degree angle. I then stuck some hooks into the rail & that was that.

Lasted a few years before I took it all down & now the bikes sit 2-up 2-down. The ones on the floor just kind of lean up against each other (top & tail) while the ones that are on the wall are mounted on a folding double rack. Thing is with that is it's not really deep enough for 2 bikes, even though it says it should be. Probably OK for 2 road bikes, but mountain bikes with wide bars are a squeeze; works best to take front wheel off & rotate bars 90 degrees.

If you go upright if you can get the bikes high enough to keep themnoff the ground then storage underneath. Issue is the bikes need lifting on and off which may mean children / partners have difficulty so you have to do it all the time.

Bikes horizontal us a bit deeper but you can put a large shelve above for storage. But nee room to wheel bikes out, at a angle helps a bit but still needv alt to push a bike past end.

I saw a great solution at my LBS at the weekend - Pallets! Obvious when you think about it -

I already have a pallet so will be experimenting this week!

I also couldn’t attach things to my walls so I built a garage width version of the rack Rockhopper links to. That lets me hang 5 up plus slot more in between underneath. It’s ok, but it’s a bit of an effort to lift bikes up to the hooks when you’ve got other bikes at you feet. You need to plan the distances between hooks and supports carefully so your bars and cranks don’t hit anything. Also mine is right inside the garage, meaning access to it (and past all the other junk) with a bike is a pain. If you’re going for the vertical rack option I’d recommend putting it just inside the garage so that that access only lets you get to bikes. Then trade the back of the rack like a wall/partition and access the rest of the garage from the other side (assuming you have two doors of course).
