Has anyone tried the supposedly more water resistant "elements" version of the freerider or freerider Vxi? Do they help keep your feet drier longer?

I've got a pair of the elements Vxi, no complaints so far. I accidentally pointed a hosepipe at my foot and no ingress.

The soles are even grippier than my old impact 2's, hopefully they'll last.

Interested in these myself, especially as Evans are offering them at a good price at the moment. £70 for the Freeriders and £83 for the VXi. Not bad for a brand new shoe.

Just got my freerider elements today. It was sunny so cant comment on water resistance, but they are damn comfy.

Can't really comment on the walking up anything slippery bit. They've been fine on a slightly muddy hill, but not tested them on much else.
