Just wondering if there any obvious differences between the five ten freerider pro and the freerider pro canvas? Durability? Warmth? Waterproofability?

Can’t seem to find anything explaining the difference. Please enlighten me!

Chris

I have all 3.

Won't ride in canvas unless I have to as they are very porous

Freeride Pro for most of the year and then Freeride EPS when it's wet and cold

Thanks Tracey, I’ve been looking at either the freerider pro or pro canvas. If it’s porous does that help in the warmer (haha) months?

The pro canvas get wet very quick so not my riding choice

The pros are good for me most of the year and I've just got out my EPS now the temp has dropped

I have a pair of the canvas. Your feet still get warm. You still get wet feet if the grass is wet.

You can still pick up good deals on all the variations

Another alternative for all year round is the Specialized 2f0 DH. It's a great shoe but the pedal grip isn't quite as good as the Five Ten

Does the canvas have a different sole to the regular pro?

Asking because I’ve always used pros and having just got some canvas they seem really hard bottoms compared to the pros I used before. Maybe a cheaper harder compound?

Mine seem to be the same on all three. I think they have got softer as they have aged. A bit like me

I've just picked up a very cheap canvas pair for summer. Can see they would not be very nice at all when wet!

I ride the regular ones in winter with waterproof socks it it's wet.

Been on the lookout for a pair of EPS ones too, if the price is right.

Keep an eye out on ebay. The pros and EPS come up regular for new ones. Quick search brought up these

I have both. Canvas good for normal rides in summer.

Not nice at 0 degrees and the sole seems thinner and less sturdy / sticky to me so not as good for gnarlier rides and big jumps

My canvas ones seem the same sole as my others. Wasn't there an Eco friendly / recycled version at some point that wasn't as grippy, have you got that one?

Primeblue version, the internet says they're not as grippy

Canvas shoes can get stinky quicker, I'd rather have regular.
