Hello.
I have a standard Hope Pro 2 Evo rear wheel with a fair whack of bearing slop, and a nice, tight, pro 2 Evo 40t on another bike. Do any of you know if I can simply pull the freehubs off and swap them over? I'm guessing the '40t' tag is for the drive ring, and has nothing to do with pawls. Is that the case, or am I about to bring on the heat death of the universe by doing this?
(..and in case anyone says: why don't you just swap the cassette over: the freehub on the 40t has a little dent in it (from a former owner) so getting the lockring on without cross threading is an absolute sod. Well, that and it would probably be quite handy to be able to swap wheels between my bikes nice and quickly.)
Is there a difference between the 2? Pro II EVO for a standard cassette is the same, the one for a SRAM 11sp XD driver is different. The 40t expander cog fits on a standard freehub.
Thanks chap - the freehubs seem to be identical. 40T in this case refers to the drive ring, rather than an expander cog. Basically it makes my singlespeed really noisy, while my FS bike is clicky...
