Anyone else have their rear cassette lock under hard braking ?
Got a coaster brake type situation that only seems to happen under hard braking meaning the cranks wont rotate !Im assuming its the rear cassette locking anyway.
Its only a problem when one of the cranks is low and you try to rotate it to miss a rock or similar.
Ive just changed to a different wheel with a hope bulb but the same used to happen with my last wheel that had a shimano hub !!??
I get around it by releasing the rear brake to rotate the cranks but it can be a bugger when your just enjoying a good hoone !!
Is it just me ?
What dyou lot recon ?
Thanks
Properly jammed or just a bit sticky? Stuck jockey wheel? If my jockey wheels need a clean/lube after a muddy ride the chain won't go backwards very easily.
I'd look there first and then consider overhauling the freehub if you still can't fix it.
dont think so pixel it was fairly dry sunday and the jokeys are loose as a gordie lass after a few beers !!
The cranks lock up tight , no movement in either direction but free up as soon as braking force is reduced !?
If you lock your back wheel then you can't pedal...
Thats true enough njee but you should be able to rotate the cranks backwards as thats kinda what a free hub is all about surely !?
Ah yes, missed the bit about not rotating either way.
Besides Im not a skid happy youngster Ill have you know !! 😉
