Hey folks,
The downtube shifter mounts on an old frame of mine were damaged a while ago, and until recently I thought they couldn't be replaced/repaired. It's a really old carbon frame, so brazing a new one on isn't an option.
Then I found these really cool little gadgets:
http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/NOVA-LEVER-BOSS-KIT-FOR-AL-FRAME.html
However, the only place I can find them is this site in the states, and the shipping's gonna cost something like $70, which seems a bit mental.
Are there any framebuilders on this forum who might have similar parts?
or does anyone here know of anyone that makes/sells them in the UK?
Cheers!
Scott.
You could try asking Ceeway - if not I occasionally order from Nova, so if you're not in a hurry...
Funnily enough, I had originally titled this thread "Bencooper to the forum, paging Bencooper" but thought it might sound a bit cheeky.
I'm not in a huge rush, but I'd kinda like to have it sorted in the next few weeks really. When are you next likely to place an order with them?
Cheers.
😀
I'll have a look, got a bunch of projects to get started on.
Sweet! Thanks 🙂
Not sure if this is anygood:
Would get one for mine but it wont work with my cable routing.

Hey Shep,
Yeah, that would work, but the kit I posted up earlier would be perfect.
I'm not in a crazy rush, so I'd rather wait for the right thing.
Cheers!
Hey Bencooper. I've just spoken to Ceeway who have exactly what I'm after (I scoured the page for ages, but clearly had my eyes shut...)
Cheers for your help anyway!
No problem 😉
