Having finally got our oxyacetylene lines replaced I am ready to start making a frame 🙂
This is going to be a project for myself and some students, so rather than starting totally from scratch I was hoping to get a frame tubeset that we can then mitre and braze, etc.
I've been looking around and found Nova in the states, but not really found a UK equivalent. Ceeway's website is pretty crap, and they only seem to supply tubesets for lugged building, or that's how I read it anyway.
Any other uk suppliers that people can recommend!?
" Ceeway's website is pretty crap, and they only seem to supply tubesets for lugged building, or that's how I read it anyway."???????
"website is pretty crap" possibly.
But what are you looking for?
We used to use either Reynolds or Ceeways for columbus tubing for either lugged or tig welded frame sets, Ceeways site is crap at best !!
As you have now have your oxy setup, i assume you are in need of lugged tube sets or are you going for a bit of fillet brazing ??
forgot about Haden components as well, not sure if they are still around?

The Bicycle Academy have started to stock some Columbus tubes.

@ macavity....ok they do sell tubes, but the only tubesets/bundles they sell are for lugged frames:

@ stumpy_m4....yeah, planning on fillet brazing. I did the Bicycle Academy course a year ago. But then discovered that our oxyacetylene set-up at school had failed it's h&s checks/service, and it took until last December to get the lines and regs replaced.
Cheers for the links people 😀
If you look at the columbus website on their tubes you can buy sets that they recommend for different things. You then buy the BB and or ht from ceeway, they replied to me within the day and I am just waiting for a reply from columbus. Then you just mitre it.
Speak to Andrew at The Bicycle Academy about Columbus tubes.

Ceeway are fine, I've built 10 frames fillet brazed with Columbus tubes from them, I have also used Reynolds obtained direct from Reynolds.
I've always found Peter at Ceeway to be very helpful, just drop an Email to him or give him a ring. The website is a bit creaky but it does the job.
Ceeway were supplying beginner packages of everything you need for one frame at one point, probably still are.
