You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
After getting my Spitfire v2 out of hibernation in advance of things easing up I discovered that it has a lovely crack on the downtube which I think came from stacking it last time it was out.
I have managed to source a 2020 Yeti SB140 frame which is being shipped. I know I need a new bottom bracket (yeti BB92 and Banshee 73mm) and as the Yeti is boost a new Chainring with 3mm offset. I think I have a set of caps to convert my rear hub to boost from 142mm.
My dropper is 30.9 so a straight swap.
I already have new pair of Code RSCs I can fit and I have an airshaft on order to set my Pikes at 160mm.
I am struggling to work out the Headset I need and as my Hope ZS44/ZS56 will not fit. I need an integrated 41/52 tapered but I'm struggling to work out what that means.
What else have I overlooked? I am sure I'm missing something. I've only built one bike before so I want to make sure I'm not sat with 95% of a working bike that is 100% unusable.
I'm thinking Hope Type 3 top, Type J bottom. Does that sound right?
No idea on the headset but
as the Yeti is boost a new Chainring with 3mm offset
I realize it may not be this simple but does no one make spacers?

As well as end caps, you will also need a shim for the rotor, it will not line up with the caliper on a boost frame if it's a 142mm hub. There are conversion kits around for this but not sure about availability at the moment
Isn't the SB140 a 31.6mm seat post too? You may have to get a shim for your current post.
as the Yeti is boost a new Chainring with 3mm offset.
You probably won't. I've just fitted a non boost chainset to a sb115.
Headsets: it's integrated with 36x45 bearing, so a Chris king dropset 3 will fit, or an FSA orbit no 42 as fitted to various Kinesis and planet X bikes
Cane creek also do a 40 or 110 in the right size
Thanks everyone. A school boy error on the seatpost 🙂
