Hi All,

We all know everyone loves a "tell me what to buy" thread 🙂

I'm looking to replacing my 2016 Stumpy with something a little bigger. I do have some criteria that it needs to fill though so I'll list below and lets see what you can come up with.

Budget: up to £800
Suited to 150mm travel (650B)
Larger than a large Stumpy (6'2" 33 inseam, longish torso).
142x12 rear dropouts.
Ideally would like to avoid pressfit BB
Ideal if it will take a coil shock (curious to try one out eventually).

So far I have the Bird Aeries and a second hand Empire MX6-Evo

Anything else worth considering at this price range?

I'm open to the idea of a good hardtail, but would need to be backed up with first hand experience of coming from full sus > hardtail 🙂

Ohh, I'd forgotten about airdrop. Anybody got one? Wondering what they are like.

Well, because I'm an impatient bugger I've gone and ordered an XL Bird Aries in the Orange colour 🙂

Forgot about Cove too! They have always intrigued me to be honest, but even the large looks like it sizes up a bit small.

I've never seen a bad word said about Bird, so hopefully I'll like the bike.
