I need to replace the pivot bearings in my Marin Attack Trail as I'm not the original owner and don't get the warranty 🙁
I've seen some diy pullers online and know you can buy dedicated tools. What do you use? What do you recommend?
They use the rather uncommon KP5AX which I can either pay £20 a pop for (£160!) or get a set from Enduro at £70ish. Any cheaper suppliers out there? It's an imperial bearing, but doesn't match up on many of the bigger bearing sites.
I thought I only had to replace the bushings ❗
Use THESE but just use some m8 bolts, nuts and washers instead. CRC sell them and you get the extraction/insertion parts. Just match your bearing number to the pack you need.

When I changed the bearings on my Marin Mount Vision (quad), they just came out or where easily extracted without special tools (boo!). As you can get to the back of the bearings, inside the linkages, when removed from the bike.
No experience on the bearings, as I was an original owner.. ouch @ those prices though.
Ahem.. do you know anyone original Marin owners, as my LBS would happily give me the bearings, as long as I took them old ones back so they could return them to ATB (for more).
