Not many frame only, but looks like Trek will be offering the Fuel+ as Frame Only:
Shop Fuel+ – The adaptable mid-power trail e-MTB (GB)
just for interest
but according to Trek is meant as crash replacement and for 4.5k does not even come with a motor or battery!
Yeah, they definitely don't want to sell many of those (for people to build up).
I believe Cotic had a similarly ambitious price for their frame-only eeb option.
Nicolai MGU would be my choice. I think they're available from Geometron for well north of 6K with no shock so over 7K with an EXT Storia. It's another £400 if you want them to paint it. You won't need to buy a drivetrain though.
I'd consider the Cotic but it's still over 6k for a frameset. It just doesn't compute for something that looks so cheap. I know, I know, UK manufacturing and stuff. It sill looks like a DIY conversion.
At those prices I'm stuck with my peasant bikes.
I bought a Trek Exe base model for £4k and then sold everything off that I didn't want.
Other then the frame/motor/battery, everything else has been changed/replaced

I've thought about doing the same with a base model Vala but I'd have to sacrifice my Airdrop Edit and I like it too much.

Gawd, bit like my Cannondale... except it was the top end model 🤣 I've Trigger's Broomed it cos I'm fussy... still, should get a good return on the bits I've removed.. if I can bring myself to sell them. Like a pair of DT Swiss mx wheels, surely they will come in useful one day!?
I thought I saw that Rocky Mountain or Cannondale were doing a frame only EMTB, but either it was last years, or I was mistaken.
Maybe it was this I saw. Damn pricy though
