The better half needs a frame the problem is we are in deepest darkest Wales with nowhere to demo anything... So quick question to the ladies: the wife is 5'4" and has a 'short leg' (apparently ladies trousers daren't measured in inches) so would she be best on a 14" or 16" Dirty Jo frame?
Many thanks!

At her height, I would go by top tube length over seat tube: laydeez often have shorter arms and I don't think the dirty jo frames were made with women's dimensions particularly in mind. Bear in mind they may also have been specced four or five years ago when 100-110mm stems were an accepted part of a bike's geometry (ie shorter top tube than you might expect). Aquick google suggests they are the same frame as some of the handsome dog ones via all terrain cycles.

fwiw they are really nice frames for the money. Dirty Jo bikes originate from/are specced and imported by 'Don't Push It' bikes in Bude, and as I recall Jodie and Wayne put a lot into the local cycling scene. Might be worth giving the shop a tinkle on 01288 359555.

Quick thread ressurection: I tried the number and its not connected - I also can't see anything on thier website and the only link to the frames is via a 'bankrupt stock' ebay site.
Are they still going? If not Poppa what did you go for?
Cheers!

Think they have shut down for a while, the shop has gone anyway, may be back open soon (babies i think).
just bought a genesis core 20 in 16" for my partner and she is 5'3", it is fine and she gets on well with it, i reckon at 5'4" it would be even better

Just checked my old e-mails, I ordered a size 'small' whatever that is. My wife is about 5'5" (I think).

Sorry, not much help!
