A bit of a stealth question mixed with I miss a good pump.

Is it just me or were we better off with the nice frame fit pumps, I particularly liked the zefal thin one can’t remember the module

What’s your thoughts on pumps now a days for road bike use?

I still use a Zefal HPX on my old Thorn, it's far more effective than any mini pump I've used.

I have a Lezyne mini pump on my Mason which is ok, but beware unscrewing valve cores!

On the other hand, I don't puncture very often (tubeless on both bikes) so it's not a huge issue.

I’ve got four frame fit pumps, I use zefals on two of myroad bikes and on the cx bikes. The hpx is really good and the Rev 88 is ok but very good value for a fiver or so.
On the Planet X cx bike I use a zefal doodad to fit it to the top tube. I can’t be do with small micro pumps anymore.

Zefal HPX here as well, often hand it to riders trying to inflate a tyre with their shiny chi-chi minimal weight saving mini-pump, they're always amazed at how quick it is, i just want to get home

The Topeak Road Blaster is a nice pump and doesn’t scratch your frame like the Zefal. Lezyne Micro Floor HP is also good, though not a frame fit pump. On group rides, I was often the only one carrying a ‘proper’ pump whilst others has gas or those micro ‘lipstick’ pumps which were only good for inflating a tube slightly before fitting inside a tyre.
