I've got a road frame with the rear triangle out of alignment. I tried
getting it replaced under warranty but the importer says that it is within
manufacturer's tolerance. To me its very noticeable and I think the manufacturer would take a different view if they actually saw it but the importer won't have it.
Does anyone know of a frame builder in the south east that would be willing to check it and perhaps mill the alloy dropouts to at least get the wheel to sit straight in the frame?

How far out are we talking?

Is it simply by eye you have noticed?

I noticed it by eye. I tried several wheels in the frame, all new, and they were all over to one side. Even the importer admitted they used the same method and didn't use a jig. I haven't the exact measurement to hand but seem to remember it was about 2.5 to 3mm. Importer reckoned it was only 1mm, which is rubbish.

Does not sound to good.

Where abouts in the south east are you?

I know a few shops/ frame builders in the Brighton Hastings area.

I'm in Ashford, so Hastings is good.
