Just wondering what type of frame would be better for me fs or ht. I badly broke my ferma some years ago and have a lot of problems with my hip and knee. just wondering if the bobing of the rear end on my fs is whats hurting my leg

You would either be moving more or out of the saddle on HT.

borrow 2 bikes (friends? demo? hire?) and ride the same route and find out rather than guess.
