I’m looking to give my old bike an overhaul – it’s a bit of a jack of all trades with rack mounts and brake/gear mounts all over the place and both an EBB and a mech hanger. I’ve ran it in its current set up for 5 years and I’m happy I want to keep it as is for the foreseeable future as it’s my go-to winter bike. So I want rid of the excess, the bits I’m looking to get done are:

1 - Remove the triple cable guides on top of the top tube and have a single zip guide under the top tube and a couple down the brake side seat stay (rear brake routing).
2 – Remove the front derailleur related gubbins.
3 – Add zip tie guides down the bottom tube/EBB and 1 on the chain stay (Alfine gear cable routing).
4 – Remove the bottle bosses/rack mounts (never used, never going to be).
5 – Get trick coated.

Potential problems are that the frame was chromed and has since been powdercoated.

I’m happy to dremmel the excess stuff off but is it possible to get zip tie guides that I can epoxy into place (If sparkys tape can last 5 years they should last 10 right?). Happy to remove the rack mounts and then fill with liquid metal (can that be powdercoated?)

My other option is to send it off somewhere to get it all done, but a place that looks good for getting frame adjustments don’t appear to have the coating I want, would they be happy to send off to another coating place? But then I probably wouldn’t get to see the frame (I’m in Ireland, framework would be done in UK) before being coated.

Anyone had a go and regretted it?
Any pitfalls I'm missing?
Any recommendations for a great place that can do all the frame work well?
