I have a set i've been running for about 10 years now and they're in need of a good service. question is do i buy the seals and oil and do it myself? or just spend £90 ish and send em off to Mojo?

i'm pretty good at bike building/servicing other bits but never tried forks?

so is it a piece of cake or a right old git!

Depending if the bushes are borked or not... if so, send away (TFT, not mojo) otherwise, do it at home.

there's a slight knocking sound so the bushes are probably gone 🙁

Hold on, didn't those fox forx always knock slightly? vague recollection that they were designed that way for hydrostatic lubrication (or I may be making it up totally...)

TFT - great customer service

mojo - seem to think they're doing you a favour in doing anything for you...

Isn't a hard choice for me.

LoCo Tuning would be my recommendation if they need a serious look at (bushes etc).

If it is just an oil and seal change then it is easy to do yourself (it a little messy!). Have a search for instructions on how to.

Just as an aside if they are 10 years old then you may be best buying another s/h pair - sad but true as oil (£15) + Seals (£14) + Crush seals (£2) + Float Fluid (£2)+ other item you need but don't have (£5) will cost a fair bit and you will still have a rather tired set of forks. Reasonable condition s/h Vanillas can be picked up for about £80.

Thanks for the advice guys, as far as condition go? they have been well looked after and are buttery smooth, and Cutter....by reading a bit of TFT's site they were designed to knock slightly so maybe just an oil and seal change needed 😀

there's nowt wrong with them so don't see the need to ditch them for another set which i have no idea on history.

Fair enough, if they are still in good condition and knock is typical then doing it yourself would be my recommendation.
