[Closed] Fox shock - washers?

Hi, this is my first post so hoping someone can help.

I took the Fox shock off my 2012 Stumpjumper and didn't notice the washers till I found them on the floor, oops..

I initially thought they came off the top mounting bolt; there is one washer that definitely sits in the recess against the head of the bolt on the outside of the top tube, but there are also 2 larger washers.

I initially thought they might have come from the inside faces of the holes through the mounting on the top tube, but it is an extremely tight fit to get the top eyelet on the shock between the mounting lugs with the 2 washers in place.

Alternatively do they go on the short bolts that secure the yoke on the bottom of the shock to the S Link? The manual doesn't seem to show washers, only bearings and I really don't remember seeing them when I took off the yoke. So are the 2 washers from the shock at all or are were they just part of the sweepings on the garage floor?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

You wont have any washers spacing out the shock, just the little alu tophats.

Are they not from the bolts?

The top hat will butt up against the frame, and then you bolt that up.

Thanks rickon, that gives me some comfort to bolt it all back together minus the washers.

This should show you where all the washers go. Some of them can be directional but I've only seen that where the bearings sit for the linkages

Thanks for posting this; this is what I looked at before which appears to show only the one washer in the whole rear shock and yoke combo, and I know where that one goes ie at the head of the bolt at the top of the shock. Oh well, looks like the washers are from something else.

Thanks!
