Ok so all shocks are set with a specific tune at point of sale, or when supplied with a bike, different size air chambers provide different spring curves.Smaller can = linear curve, big can = progressive curve? But I keep seeing references to shock tunes such as "b" (for a rocks box monarch) or "I" , I assume "m" is medium "L" is light "H" is high etc. where dose the boost tune come in?
I'm after replacing my x fusion shock on my specialised pitch comp with a second hand rp23boost valve shock.
any advise would be appreciated

My trek ex8 2008 will only take the fox rp2, if I wanted to upgrade to the rp23 I'd have to change the rocker arm. So maybe your local specialised shop for info.
Where'd you here that ricardo? The 2008 EX9 came with an RP23 as standard (Fuel EX9) and it's the same frame. The only real difference between the two shocks is that the RP23 has three Propedal settings to the RP2's one AFAIK
