Anyone know of a Fox rear shock can be shortened? Got a 190mmx51 Float CTD Kashima and a frame it doesn't fit - need a 165mm version.
Not managed to sell it so far, and even if I do, not many SH 165mm shocks about, so looking at either a lower spec new shock, or forking out lots for an equivalent.
I've had a 5th element shock lengthened years ago so don't see why a shock can't be shortened.
It'll be a mojo or tftuned type job though.
Would be cheaper to sell that shock and buy the right one.
You need the following parts: Aircan, shock body, shock shaft, metering rods which all adds up.
When I sold my Capra (with an X2) I enquired with Mojo about getting the travel reduced to fit it to my Patrol - they replied that there were so many parts required for it it'd be best just to sell it and buy a new one.
I thought it was just sales BS, but looked into it and the costs were genuinely a little mental.
Feared that was the case.
