Ok, so I recently bought a 2010 Orange 5 which came with a RP23 (with the boost valve).

For over a month now I have been trying to set the shock up correctly. The problem I seem to have is, the RP23 seems to just blow through all the travel as soon as I get past about 50% (ie it's really not progressive).

This morning I took the RP23 off and replaced it with a '06 RP3 (thats been TFTuned, but came off my I-Drive 5 frame). The shock is the same stroke and i2i.

As soon as I put the RP3 on and set the pressure correctly, no more bottoming out every few seonds.

Can someone tell me what the heck I'm missing here?

Is it a high volume rp23? If so try buying a low volume sleeve for it. Improved my rc405 a lot. They are around 30 quid from tftuned.

Aye it is a high volume RP23, where as the RP3 isn't.

Surprisingly you're the second person to suggest that to me now...

I'll give TF a tinkle (haven't used that phrase in eons).
