Hi looking to upgrade my shock on my 2003 patriot and got the chance of either of these which one should I get OR I have a Fox van R coil ? Can anybody help please ?

Had RP2, RP23 and not overly impressed by either. Got a Monarch Debonair (RT or RL, not sure) and was quite surprised by plushness of it. Also the lockout/pedal option is actually more of a lockout, much firmer in feel. I found pro-pedal made on the Fox shocks made very little difference, but then VPP suspension bike so negates the need anyway. In fact the lock out on the Monarch gets virtually no use either as I don't really use it and I just forget to turn it off anyway if I do.
Though my CCDB Air is still my favourite.
