Hey all
I've been riding my first full sus for a few months (Canyon Nerve AM) and found that the propedal setting seems to make pretty much naff-all difference. I put that down to a subtle change rather than getting anywhere near firm but I've just ridden a zesty with float shock and that's very very firm in lockout - massively different.
I know it's a different bike with different handling etc and it's not a like for like shock either but it makes me wonder if the shock has a problem.
Any suggestions? Adjusting air pressure doesn't seem to affect it, and neither does the rebound.
I can generally tell just by leaning on the bike if it's working or not a gentle lean should be stopped by the pro pedal.
Under a year old then you can return as faulty rather than paying for a tune on what is possibly a dud.
Air is the spring and nothing to do with the shock absorber part which uses oil and yes you are right there should be a significant difference between "Open" and "Propedal"

Yep, Canyon sell direct, which makes these kind of things a pain. That said, Fox warranty should cover a dud and Canyon have been excellent about helping resolve any niggles since arrival.
