Had a well overdue strip down, clean and re-grease of the components on my main bike today.
In the process I managed to upset the red rebound dial on my Fox RP2 shock, so that there are no longer definite clicks for each setting; it is just an uninterrupted rotation between the max and min stops.
I know it's only minor in the grand scheme of bike maintenance problems, but it is nice to have feed back when adjusting rebound on the fly, or even at a standstill.
Any ideas would be gratefully received, cheers.
The clicks are normally governed by a spring loaded ball pressing against a series of detents in the shaft of the aduster, the pressure on the spring is applied by the grub screw that sits above the eyelet, pointing forwards.
I have Fox RP & Talas which have similar clicky action controls. OP: might well be same as spring loaded ball that clicks for fork adjustment, though dont think its needed mechanically. You can buy these as spares but any small bearing that fits should do. Hope that applies to shock too.
