CRC seem to have some very good deals on fox RL forks (as opposed to RLC) at the minute, but not being familiar with fox forx I'm not sure what the difference is. Is the 'C' similar to the floodgate adjustment of RS Rebas and the likes (with the RL being unadjustable like the Reba SLs)? Do people who own RLCs ever use the 'C' adjustment?

Oh, one more thing, what was the difference between 2009 and 2010 model year (these aren't FIT, just old fashioned open bath or what ever).

its for the compression damping. i use that and the rebound on mine but dont touch the lockout. i used to have rl before my rlc and i wouldnt get fox forks without the compression adjustment now but thats just me 😉 shame they dont do a rc lol

I have a set of Vanilla R's on my hardtail and Vanilla RLC's on the FS both 140mm 32 2009 and I can honestly say that the R's are all I need, I don't use the lockout as I don't feel any huge advantage on the climbs, always forget to turn it off on descents and after fettling with the compression for ages I settled on the 'just like the R's' setting anyway.

Might be different with other makes/models though.
