Having suffered a daft but painful eye injury yesterday I have started researching protective eye wear and stumbled across these Fox Purevue.  Has anyone used them yet for real world feedback?

I try a weekly night ride on the MTB and one on the gravel bike and to be honest haven’t really bothered with eye wear.  But after yesterday afternoon in A and E it is something I need to invest in! Most of what I have tried in the past has steamed up too quickly and hence been useless.  I want something to stick on at the start and leave on for the climbs!

Has anyone used them for gravel riding at night ? Or daytime?!

There is still time for a little note to Santa !

I only have one properly functioning eye due to childhood injury so am paranoid of damaging my good eye so always ride in eyewear. My preference is for Oakley Jawbreakers when mtbing with a regular helmet.

I wouldn’t want to do any sort of actual proper pedalling in goggles but those Foxes do look interesting. I am struggling to believe they won’t steam up while climbing in the cold at slow speeds though or get a bit warm in hotter temps.

Another Jawbreaker user here. Use them day and night, I've got the trail lense and a clear lense. Quick lense swaps, plus they were also the only ones I could get to fit nicely with my helmet.

Following this - I've found that any glasses I've tried just steam up too easily , and regular goggles are a non starter.

these pureview goggle do look like a good design - interested for any realworld feed back on how resistant they are to steaming up.

I have some madison ones with a clear lens and some sweet protection ones. Both are way better than my Oakleys for not steaming up. I’m interested in those fox goggles too as normal ones pinch my nose

2nd vote for Jawbreakers. I'm "mr sweaty head" and it takes a lot to make me take them off. You can get a "low light" lens which does sharpen things up better than a clear (for me at least)

Thanks Mark.  It was your article in the magazine which I noticed! Any chance of a full review of the glasses/goggles ?

I can see that they could be a drastic improvement over goggles for situations where goggles are normally needed but struggle with fogging and or heat.

As my goggles are past their best, might consider these as replacements for downhilling.

But for lighter duty riding (incl. graveling) what benefit do they give over glasses?

I like them for when riding needs goggles not glasses

I was tempted by these as I am a sweaty pig with eyes that water with any wind blast but I looked at them, looked at the price, and thought I'd try removing some foam from my old goggles and see how that works before splashing the cash.  I certainly like the look of them (from a practical perspective I mean, not aesthetic)
