So I've changed the oil in the lowers of my fox evolution CTD. Everything seemed fine until I tried the lockout and it doesn't seem to make any difference. They remain on full travel. Not sure what if anything I have done wrong as I followed the video on the fox website. Will they be alright to use tomorrow or will I damage them. Any suggestions as to how to fix them. Thanks
If all you've done is renew the oil in the lowers (and done this correctly) then the issue in your damper is a separate issue as the CTD Evo damper is a sealed unit and the damping oil is inside that black aluminium damper.
Riding it wont cause any major issues.
If you've taken the blue CTD dial off (not that you need to to do a lower leg oil change) just check that you've re-fitted it correctly on the hexagonal rod. If its not mated correctly on the Hex rod then it will be pushing the rod down and leaving a small gap on the damper window which will mean the fork now wont lock out
I didn't remove the CTD cap at the time but removed and refitted it when I noticed the problem. Everything looks normal it's just not locking. I will ride tomorrow and see what there're like.
Have you tried compressing them a few times to run them through a cycle?
Do exactly that - with the rebound damping set to 11. I'm sure LoCo will be along to confirm precisely that.
Then check the lock out - should work a-ok
Pump 'em up and down a bit - they'll be fine
