So I was hopping around in a trackstand position today having gone the wrong way up a trail when...
The rebound knob on me forks blew about 3 feet in the air closely followed by a geyser of oil.
On closer inspection there is a thread on the end of the rod to which the rebound control is attached. This seems to have sheared off.
Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what was the solution and dare I ask: how much?
It's off to the LBS tomorrow but thought I would throw it open to the hive mind of STW.
New damper assembly, about £130 plus fitting, which will be a service, so plus about £90.

Cheers, I had a feeling it would prove costly.
I've seen forks blowing oil before but not in a geyser like that.
Had a manitou mach 5 sx top cap assembly blast me in tbe nipple, Twice! Replaced under warranty, just as i was getting to like it.
Have seen the Fox OB carts. do this a couple of times but pretty rare, I think Gee's estimate may be rather high though.

I'm hoping that's the case.
