[Closed] Fox Float Rear CTD No Difference

Hi all
I have a few year old, but literally on about 3 - 4 rides, stumpjumper with the fox CTD rear shock with autosag.
I don’t see any difference between climb, trail, descend. I’ve just done an air can service on it for good measure but no difference still. When I did the autosag the first time it shot out quite a bit of green goo. Pretty sure this wasn’t from the air can as the fox fluid is blue (plus I don’t see how the fluid will affect the compression, it’s more lube that it is a pool of liquid) It doesn’t do it anymore.
Does anyone have any advice / experience they can suggest what’s wrong? Either way it’s probably beyond me to repair but it’d be nice to know what may be wrong.
Cheers

Send it to TFtuned. Ring them first and they’ll probably be able to tell you if it’s goosed, or if they can fix it.

It just needs a full service. The green goo was float fluid, it discolours over time. If you bought it under a year ago it should be covered under warranty

Thanks both for the replies.
I will get in touch with TFT tomorrow as you suggest.
Any ideas what the actual issue is? Happy to accept it needs a service but just would like to know if anyone knows.
What's the difference between a full service and an air sleeve service?
Cheers.

Unfortunately it's a 2016, bought in 2017, not ridden for a couple of years since purchase. Looks mint condition really but obviously this is some sort of issue whatever it is.

It depends what version of CTD you have really, there are a lot of variations. But to really simplify it the internal pressure charge has either leaked into the oil, out somewhere else, or was never really there to start with. This means there isn't as much pressure pushing back on the valves so the 'propedal' forces are weaker. If it's a boost valve shock you will actually see the tune number printed on the air can, usually 175-250ish. Higher then number, firmer the lever makes it. Sort of.

Air can service is just lubing the air sleeve, full service is the damper too, so the bit that controls the compression, rebound and lockout.

If you want to see the difference go on the fox site, full service guides are there so you can see inside your shock. Don't pull it to bits though, as you need a bit of kit to put it back together. Get it off to TF or similar

Cheers Pigyn...
I found this link, I reckon it's what I need. The oil top up in the piston I hope.

Thanks again.

Just to update... sent it to TFT. The service seems pot on to me. Obviously taking it to LBS would be ideal but not a lot of them will do the full service now and this was a quick turn around. Thanks all for the advice.
