As above, I've been getting annoyed with the shock recently as I seem to blow through the travel frequently despite being relatively light (~75kg with kit), and when I increase the pressure to avoid this it feels really harsh. So I thought I'd fit a volume spacer to try and improve it, get the kit and open the shock up only to find that the 2nd largest one provided is already in the shock.
Is that normal, do they come with reducers fitted? I assumed I'd be able to work my way up through the 5 available until I found a best fit, but I'm now stuck with only one option.
Is it possible it was fitted during the service last year? It's not mentioned on any of the paperwork.
Mine also came with the second largest fitted. Try the largest but if that doesn't help enough get an EVOL sleeve to replace your current sleeve. That gives you a large negative air chamber which will help with small bump compliance for your light weight. You will then have to increase the air pressure to get your usual sag and you may well have to fit a smaller volume spacer to make use of all your travel. Worked for me!
Thanks - didn't even know they made that! If this doesn't work it's either that or get a new shock.
